As is the case with all of the monies we raise, half of that amount went directly into our endowment, and the other half became available to be awarded in the form of grant money during the fall.

"Cars for Kids. " Donate your unwanted cars, trucks, trailers or boats, and LEAF will receive a donation. Your vehicle will be towed away, free of charge, and you will receive a tax deduction for the fair market value. Cars are sold at auction, and 75 % of the proceeds go to benefit LEAF. "Because of a depressed scrap metal market at this time, there are two new specifications. Cars must be no older than 1980 models, and they must be in running condition." Any donation from Lunenburg is automatically credited to LEAF; those living outside of Lunenburg need to specify that the proceeds benefit LEAF. "Food for Thought" By mentioning LEAF when making a purchase at the Village House of Pizza, you can help support LEAF's fundraising efforts. Each month, 5% of total sales to Lunenburg residents is returned to LEAF. Over the past 5 years, LEAF has received approximately $5000 from "Food for Schools" sales.
